Regions and local authorities offer assistance for the purchase of electric bicycles.
At FixWheel, most bikes are eligible for subsidies. You'll find out whether or not each bike is eligible for subsidies on the bike's description sheet.
Eligibility conditions
Example for assistance from Ile de France Mobilités:
To be eligible for assistance with purchasing a bicycle, you must:
- Be a natural person;
- Be an adult or an emancipated minor;
- Living in Île-de-France;
- Have purchased your new bike (date of invoice as proof)
- from May 1, 2020 for folding bikes and adapted bikes;
- from December 1, 2019 for classic electric-assisted bicycles or cargo bikes;
- You agree not to resell the bike for a period of 3 years;
- Not having already benefited from other assistance for the purchase of a bicycle from Île-de-France Mobilités;
- Have requested any available assistance:
- For all bicycles: possible local financial aid before applying to Île-de-France Mobilités;
- For adapted bicycles: any reimbursements from Health Insurance, Mutual Insurance or other applicable funds.
If one or more aids are available, the supporting document(s) for obtaining or refusing them must be attached to your file.
How to obtain aid
Example for assistance from Ile de France Mobilités:
For residents of Ile de France, the process is carried out on the website d'Ile de France Mobilités on which you will need to create an account to access the form to complete -> aid request form , and attach:
- The bicycle purchase invoice provided by FixWheel , dated, in the name of the applicant, paid in euros and written in French. Eligible accessories must appear on the same invoice;
- The Bicycle Identification Certificate provided by FixWheel
- A copy of the bicycle's approval certificate or certificate of conformity provided by FixWheel
- An identity document (national identity card, passport, driving license or residence permit);
- A copy of proof of emancipation for emancipated minors;
- A copy of proof of address less than three months old in the applicant's name (housing tax, property tax, landline telephone bill, internet subscription bill, water bill or electricity bill) or proof of accommodation (Model: www.service-public.fr/simulateur/calcul/AttestationHebergement ) accompanied by the host's identity document;
- A bank details form in the applicant's name;
- For people residing in a city or inter-municipality that offers purchase assistance for the same type of bicycle, proof of receipt or refusal of local financial assistance (letter, email, etc.). If your city or inter-municipality does not offer this type of assistance, no proof is required.
